A little bit about me...
I can't remember a time when I didn't have a camera close at hand! My grandparents were keen photographers and from an early age I was encouraged to take photographs and critique the results.
The young Katie photographed everything from the chickens in the garden, my friends and family to random shots of life going on around me.
I have a insightful journalistic and sometimes candid style of shooting which lends itself to both the modern world of lifestyle marketing to the intimacy of family portraiture.
My skills developed through a combination of formal education, a degree in Editorial & Advertising Photography at the University of Gloucestershire, as well as practical experience with companies like Venture and BangWallop studios in Devon. I also have experience of working for several marketing agencies where I worked on projects with the likes of Nike, which has given me an understanding of branding, PR and marketing that has shaped my approach to photography. In 2016 I decided to take the scary step into working for myself and being my own boss...uh oh! I have totally enjoyed every minute of it and have loved meeting so many different clients from business owners to families, brides and grooms. I am based in Devon and live with my now husband, Alex, and our beautiful little girl Frankie!
My loves beside from photos are cooking, interiors, fashion, time with the fam and sea air!
